Clinical Application of the Skin Flap

Abstract

|
For closure of wounds with a poor vascular bed, facial reconstruction, providing padding over bony prominences and nerve or tendon, permitting operation through the flap on under-lying structures and other special occasions, a skin flap may be more desirable than skin. Authors tried to find arterial flaps and to design local flaps with artistic eyes. Authors summarize well-known skin flaps and described its original articles, utilization and effects.
